Hi guys!
So my Sunday started out with a little idea… I was sick and tired of not being able to find the pair of shoes I wanted to wear right away. I’m a dork when it comes to organization, I love it. It makes my heart happy. So I drew up what I wanted to do in the notes section on my iPhone… I’m an artist – I know.
But really, my closet started off MESSY. See below to see the transformation. So I drove over to Lowes and bought some wood to make my shelves. I only needed three pieces, two 2x10x8’s and one 2x4x8. This only cost me $20 for a shelf for Mitch and I. How awesome. And since we still don’t have a truck or any larger car my good ol’ trusty G6, that car is a TANK.
Fits nice huh 😉
So I started with cutting my pieces to size, we got a sweet new miter saw so this is my first project since we’ve set it up.
Then I drilled pocket holes with my Kreg Jeg so it’s easier to attach boards seamlessly. It’s super awesome.
Then I assembled everything!
Then I got carried away, and forgot to take pictures as I went along. Whoops. I just had fun. But these things are awesome. Check out these before and afters!!
This is Mitch’s side of the closet – MANY SHOES. THEN SO NEAT.
And my side, I forgot to take a pictures with my shoes in the closet, I was measuring out what size I needed so I had to empty out the closet!
Hope you enjoyed, and if you want any fun projects to help build I WOULD LOVE IT. Not only a full time student, photographer, and part time job worker… I love building things. It’s too fun.
xoxo, Karli
